Dot Richards and Dot Richards: Dot Richards is a British iOS developer. Her full name is Lucy Dorothy Sara Richards. She was born in Cornwall, England on January 10, 1988. Dot grew up in Chorleywood, near London, where her family home is. In her teens, she was a fan of the Lord of the Rings, with an active presence on LiveJournal and FandomWank. Between 2006 and 2010 she was active on the social scene with techies in London, attending events such as PubStandards, and MetaFilter. Dot attained a reputation for using both pick-up artist techniques, such as negging, and hook-ups to emotionally manipulate people, and for carrying on multiple simultaneous sexual relationships without her partners’ knowledge. She attended university at Reading where she studied law. During the years 2008 and 2009, she studied abroad in Maastricht. After university, around 2010, she emigrated to Vancouver, Canada, working as a web developer, and began a long-term relationship. In 2013 she moved to San Francisco, and later to Oakland, CA, where she continues to live and work. She married her long-term partner in 2014 celebrating at the Verdi Club. She broke up with him in 2017 and he filed for divorce in 2022, but as of 2024 Dot Richards has failed to respond to his summons, hanging on the marriage for immigration reasons. Online, she goes by the names hugsnkisses, biscuitsandtea, biscuits and tea, and teacup. She is an activist for equality and in particular LGBTQ rights.
