So, instead of studying (boo) I made a quiz about the kittens. They're 23 days old now and on Friday I let them out into my room. Since then Maddie has stolen one of my socks. Kittens are fun! Moved them all over to a new box today, am now pretty sure that it's two guys and two girls. The girls are much prettier. Click on the pictures to get a closeup for extra!kitteny!goodness! This evening, four kittens arrived all over my clean purple carpet. It was about time too, Lalaith got stuck in a door on Tuesday and kept whining at me about nothing. 1. Saw POTC on Saturday and completely broke down. I didn't expect to since I've read all the reviews, seen it analysed many times, heard sermons on it and all the rest. But still, somewhere between the horrific unending violence and the slightly less then slightly more horrific undending violence I started sobbing and didn't really stop until the end. Judus/Jesus and Mary/Mary would be such good pairings though. 2. Before POTC we had the best set of trailers I've ever seen at the cinema. First we had Secret Window then Troy then ESOTSM and finally Hidalgo. I was sitting there thinking: wow, I wish I could see all those movies now, when I realised that I'd downloaded ESOTSM a week ago and hadn't watched it. 3. Now having seen it, I don't understand why some people were bashing Elijah's performance. His character's supposed to be pretty weird, creepy and mostly one dimensional, isn't he? Jim Carey was great, completely different to how I've ever seen him, Kate was wonderful as usual. I did get a shock halfway through when I realised that Dr Howard was played by the guy who was Bosie's father in Wilde. I couldn't look at him the same way for the rest of the film. (You killed 4. Bought the first two series' of Black Books with a voucher I had for Virgin. Well, whores will have their trinkets. Am completely in love, if you have never seen Black Books (which, dear misguided flist, I fear many of you have not) then run, don't walk, RUN to your nearest internet store and buy it. If you liked The Office, you'll love this. Incidently it does feature Tim and Dawn from The Office in the first and third seasons respectively. 5. I don't know why I've done this whole entry in numbers. We broke TORN. Oops. It's 5.30am here now and I'm struggling to remember what I did with the last 5 hours. The cutest moment of the night definitely went to Keisha Castle-Hughes finally meeting Johnny Depp. She just completely froze and was all: omgjohnneh O_O while he looked slightly embarrassed. Elijah, Dom, Sean and Billy all crying was pretty special too. Was most unimpressed by BBC "comedians" Jonathan Ross is usually pretty good, but the others were just dire. I much preferred 2002 where he had a load of stylists criticise all the women's dresses. (Liv's glasses = eeeee) | |
